Hartcliffe Christian Fellowship

Church Family and Community
The previous old building had been a home for the church family and community,  a place where people could meet together, for over 30 years.  They had a real vision to be present in the local community.  The church was then called "Hartcliffe Christian Fellowship".  Our original roots were Brethren, and to this day we passionately love and believe the Scriptures, as God's revealed Truth to mankind.
The old building wOld Building 01as smaller and lacked the facilities needed for changing needs in a challenging generation. It needed updating, or a totally new start. Old Building 02The building had suffered badly at the hands of a small minority who took it upon themselves to try to destroy the building and to obliterate the mission of our Mighty God and His people in the fellowship.
The vision flourished for a new building, ready for the new
purposes of God for South Bristol.
Constructed in 2000/2001, the wettest autumn for 300 years did not prevent progress and we moved into the part-finished new building in May 2001. There were huge challenges in that period, but it stands today as a tribute to our Mighty God.
The new start called for a new name - so we
took the name "River of Life Christian Centre"

Today, we just call ourselves "The River"
