A totally Christian Church
Come and see what God has done; His awesome deeds for us! Psalm 66:5
21st April 2019
This week, Mark reflects on Life at the River:
This week has been what is commonly known as “Holy Week”. We have seen and heard God move by His Spirit again this week as He continues to bless us at The River with all good things but above all, blessed by Him being amongst us!
Last Sunday (Palm Sunday) we were reminded of how Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, and how interestingly Jesus last miracle before His death and resurrection was the raising of Lazarus from the dead recorded in John 11. Jesus made one of His seven “I AM” declarations in verse 25, “I AM The Resurrection and The Life. The one who believes in me will live even though they die: and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”
Jesus finished this declaration with a question, ‘Do you believe this?”. We pray that the answer is a resounding YES!
The abbreviated Easter story walk has been open for anyone to walk around. Some have wandered in off the street and been reminded of the immense cost Jesus paid on the cross for our salvation and also the wonderful victory over death and Hades by His RESURRECTION! Hallelujah!
Wednesday’s meeting we enjoyed a time of worship together before some went to learn more through Alpha, whilst others learned of the law of seedtime and harvest, that a person reaps what they sow. Galatians 6 v 6-10.
