Israel

Our "Jerusalem Room" with its murals serve as a reminder of the significance of Israel and the Holy City. We meet in this room for our monthly "Prayer for Israel" meeting.
It was a special joy to go to Jerusalem during June 2010

It was so good to go to the top of the Mount of Olives for the panoramic view seen so often in books and on the television. It will be even better when the third temple is built.
Photos never do justice to what is seen with the naked eye. Just to look at the sealed up Golden Gate and think back nearly 2000 years to when our Saviour rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. "Hosanna!"
One day, He will do it again and nothing will sbe able to stop Him. King Jesus!!

To be one of the chosen, alongside the chosen at the Western Wall - to pray with them, to catch something of the magnitude of the meaning of it all. Truly amazing...........

.... to be in Bethany the village where Jesus raised Lazurus from the dead, where Jesus was anointed .......

.....to be in the garden of Gethsamene where Jesus prayed, betrayed, arrested, forsaken by His disciples.......
......then to pause, and remember His death, to share communion outside the city wall ........

....to be where His body "may" have been laid (in the garden tomb). If not here, somewhere rather like it.... where He rose from the dead very early on the third day after His death.........

...and to Galilee, 5.00am in the morning, where Jesus met again with His disciples, where He had once calmed the sea He later walked on, where He directed the fishermen disciples, the very ones who had forsaken Him just a few days before, how to catch so many fish that they could hardly contain them... and have breakfast with them.......
So much more to tell, so many more photos
